Dr. Sun gives one of the “BIBLE STUDIES For LIFE” to one of the child accompanied by his mother:

It is said that they came from Burma (Myanmar) because either their boys or girls were chased by the army of Myanmar.  The army caught them because boys could be treated as soldiers and girls would be married to one of the army soldiers; usually in Myanmar soldiers could get 4 to 5 wives.  So many families escaped to Thailand.

But in Thailand, they have no identity card because the government didn’t issue any cards to them, so they have no cards and can only stay and work in Mae Sai, Chiang Rai.  Most of the houses above-mentioned are built by them; they can buy the lands from the Thai local people but once government wants the land, they have to obey and there is no guarantee whether they can get any reimbursement.
